Rotortech is a Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) company that was founded in 2012 to provide a new competitive approach to an emerging UAV market. Rotortech specializes in assembling and distributing custom UAV systems primarily for the commercial sector utilizing demilitarized UAV technology.
Rotortech approached Airlift to help them define who they are and create a brand language that personifies their company. Having our team learn more about the UAV market was essential in creating a brand platform for Rotortech.
We learned through this definition process that rotor blades were in themselves an iconic element that the brand could instantly be recognised by. Four interlocking shapes that mimic the curves of Rotortechs propellers were used as a foundation for the symbol. Green, grey and black were predominantly used because through our competitive analysis it would allow the brand to stand out from it’s competitors.
