It’s no secret we’re huge fans of motorcycles and motorcycle racing here at Airlift. When we were asked to help PhotoGP rebrand themselves we were honored and completely thrilled. PhotoGP provides exceptional editorial imagery for MotoGP (Motorcycle Grand Prix) and wanted to inject some life and vitality into their brand.
PhotoGP had an existing symbol prior to approaching Airlift, however it didn’t clearly communicate and easily span across all forms of online and offline materials. They wanted it to be much more memorable and and highly energetic which is very synonymous with motorcycle racing.
We closely collaborated with PhotoGP and ultimately wanted to join two visually distinct icons into one cohesive message. The motorcycle wheel, which is already incredibly iconic and a camera aperture. Both of these icons together form the basis for the final symbol. We also provided additional photography for the brand. The project was a huge success and everyone couldn’t be happier with the results.
